Details

In the third session of Move Your Bits @barb.the.builder_ is gonna make us sweat! We will start with a proper warm up to make our bodies ready for exercise, following by circuit training with focus on having fun and training whole body. There will be exercise alternatives for any body, so everyone can join wherever they are and everyone is welcome! We will finish the training by a short flexibility session to relax the muscles after hard work, with focus on back and hip tension.

Come as you are in clothes that you find comfortable, including sneakers. We are going to sweat, so bring something to drink and perhaps even a small snack to eat after!

**No registration needed this time **

MOVE YOUR BITS**

We have seen an increased amount of queer people having trouble finding the right space to do different physical activities such as yoga, dancing, and many other body-related activities. The usual spaces that offer these activities can be very challenging for many in the queer community, especially for trans people. Many of these places do not know how vulnerable these activities can be for queer people. After many talks with members of our community and other organisations, Sappho's Friends would like to offer the opportunity to train different disciplines led by different people in a protected and inclusive space.

This session of Move Your Bits will be on May 11th from 18:00 - 20:00 📍Gymsalen, Sentralen. It will be hosted by Barbora (she/they) @barb.the.builder_, who's educated as a personal trainer and nutrition coach, and a total nerd when it comes to movement and psychology. She uses training as a tool to build capacity, autonomy, control and mastery in our ever changing bodies. Their special interest is lowering the threshold for moving our bits with focus on the queer community, helping gender dysphoria/ body dysmorphia through muscle and confidence building. Each date will have different disciplines that will be announced in advance on our website and SoMe.
